I don't know why, but if want a change from countryside pubs and restaurants then why not try Las Chicas - A Spanish tapas bar just up the road in Faringdon.
It's tapas, so everything's good! Our recommendation is that you take a large group - or a small group of hungry people - and just buy everything on the menu to share.
